The idea of a DVD being "a copy of your favorite movie/TV show that YOU own forever" probably sounds like the ultimate cheat code to the generation who has only know the streaming ecosystem and, as such, more aware of its shortcomings.

There's a wild amount of people parroting the claim that unlocking the motorcycle radio player in Metroid Prime 4 can only be through an amiibo is "misinformation", yet they can only point to "well someone else said it" instead of actual evidence.

This is a decision that can only happen when the people who founded the company lost sight of the reason they established this tier / how they themselves started. The whole reason that simulcasting+free ad-supported tiers were innovated in the first place was to deter people from pirating the shows!

They don't carry titles that are being concurrently broadcast in Japan, but Tubi remains an outstanding resource to watch anime titles as well as Japanese live-action special effects programs (e.g. Power Rangers) for free tubitv.com/category/anime Much of what's on there is also on www.retrocrush.tv

“Best Anime OP song” lists annoy me because not a single one makes a distinction between cinematography and musicality.
There are OPs where the song is a 10/10 bop but the visuals are nothing/recycled footage, and vice versa, the song is mediocre but the storytelling in 80 seconds is immaculate.
