Yay I got some new winter/holiday merch to wear from our merch store! I’m excited for my board game cornucopia shirt cause that took me a while to draw but I like how it looks! We have a flash sale on our merch store now so you can get your own too!

Got to play Fate of the Fellowship (LotR Pandemic) at game night! We were close but needed one more action and had to go around the table again before destroying the ring, and a bunch of havens got overrun and we lost 🙁

We played some more Here Lies (review copy from @dvcgames.bsky.social) tonight and this was one of the clue cards used to show the expression of the body. This actually gave us a decent amount of info (when added to other things)!

Got to try out the Slay the Spire #boardgame last night! I’ve never played the video game, but I enjoyed the board game version! Cooperative deck building, getting cool combos and defeating enemies! I got a rare card early that worked really well with my deck so that was neat.

Gonna play Exit: The Game - The Return to the Abandoned Cabin and so far this has the most setup of any Exit game I’ve played! I guess it has a 3D cabin instead of the booklet!

So @bgstatsapp.bsky.social has year stats up! Once I filtered out the multiple session escape room games, all of my top games by plays this year were children’s games! I think this is the first year that has happened, but it totally makes sense nowadays.

I read the rules the other day and he’s been asking every day to play it, so today we finally tried it. We were able to play a few rounds (super basic, without any special tile abilities) and he liked it! And he’s super into the theme! He was walking the Moai along whenever he built one 🥰 (3/4)

My #boardgames plays from last week! We bought Bomb Busters and played it a lot! It has a Hanabi feel and cooperative Go Fish mechanics and I love it! Kids also got a new game - Boxtop Pinball: Haunted House, which is like a more thematic Tumblin’ Dice.
