Seeing aurorae at all is unbelievable when you consider that this is the light pollution directly south of Mt. Wilson Observatory: literally Los Angeles, plus even more reflection of that light from clouds tonight.

As times are getting even harder for folks and budget tighter and tighter, I wanted to share a resource I found.

If you live in the green and red zones and have clear skies, you should go outside now and take a camera and do some long exposures, but also, just look up and marvel!
That's the Earth shielding you from harmful radiation that the Sun is belching out!
