Due to the particular 2.76:1 picture ratio chosen by director Danny Boyle, 27 YEARS LATER has been assigned its own special 🎆 Projector lens 📽️ in Screen 1 at @irishfilminstitute.bsky.social. Along with our drop down masking, this ensures the film image will be concentrated & entirely black bar free.

My film worker dad, John Markey, & me on a visit to the set of KUNG FU DEADLY, a Kung Fu supernatural comedy now filming in Dublin based on my screenplay. My dad has doubled for #JohnHurt, #GeoffreyRush, and got punched by #SeanConnery (though not at the same time). @irishfilminstitute.bsky.social

In eras past we’d call him prophet or seer. In our time filmmaker. I feel so sad. But blessed too to have lived in his time. How we see the world is unique to us all. But David Lynch’s vision was as deep as Mariana Trench where even the horrible was beautiful.

THE DEAD has never been released digitally or on Blu-ray. I think the long OOP DVD is cut due to some music rights. So thank god for our archive print (we actually have two). #ProjectionBooth
