They want us to accept 5.5% over 3 years when the cost of shelter rose 7.2% in the last year alone.

According to NBC News, the current overall rate of inflation in Massachusetts is 3.6% with a core inflation rate of 4.1%.

At this time, the City of Boston and BPL management have offered our bargaining unit 5.5% raises over 3 years. This would be accompanied by $250 base wage increases for the first two years and a $500 base wage increase in the third year.

The proposals put forward to us, especially in regards to our salary increases, showed a deep disrespect for the work that PSA members do.
