Flew my first solo XC today, plus had a nice stop for a plane-watching breakfast on one leg. Been building up to this day for a long while, and it did not disappoint!

I’m not saying anything much more-informed people aren’t, but the rapid erosion of the ability to trust the federal government’s medical agencies as unbiased and scientific will do untold damage that takes decades to repair.

In 9th grade, two of our teachers had a running “jokingly yell it out in the hallways” battle ongoing about whether the Civil War was about slavery or states’ rights.
One teacher told us “apartheid was good for S Africa;” another lectured that FDR “ruined the country” by making Americans “lazy;” yet another wld force us to watch Alan Greenspan lectures and preface them by saying “now that’s a smart Jew” (the teacher ofc was not Jewish)

If ever you’re passing through the area, the Llano airport is lovely. They have a free BBQ shuttle courtesy car you can check out to pop over to Cooper’s, and it’s well worth the experience!
