It seems combat in #RealmsOfAncardia will be more complex, differentiated and full of additional tactical choices compared to #ADOM.

Any ideas what the shortcut numbers in the combat stat block might mean?

Experimenting with a visual damage indicator for #RealmsOfAncardia

#roguelike #programming can be so much when your custom engine has reached a state where adding such a feature takes less than five minutes :-)

#Skills in #RealmsOfAncardia are the next area that gets a lot of attention. They permeate the game and thus need to be structurally available ASAP.

The current draft is not yet a pleasure to look at but we are getting somewhere... #roguelike #programming

I'm right now busy ripping out my Curses layer from #RealmsOfAncardia in order to rely 100% on my new graphical component architecture. I guess some weird effects are to be expected when #programming a #roguelike but this one is weird... and tough.

I really like the flexible talent category system in #RealmsOfAncardia... if you e.g. want to build a character like the #GrayMouser it's pretty simple to define your own setup. Here we have a master rogue who is an adept fighter and a novice mage... fits the role model :-)
