If you, like me, are the parent of a neuro-atypical child dreading this autism press conference, please remember: These are the people hurting our kids. Not us. They are the ones stigmatizing and pathologizing them. They are the ones peddling untested science. And we should be very, very angry.

California quails are sooo cute. I don't even care that they're not native. I love em.

We need a party rooted in:

🟠 Moral clarity - on climate, oligarchy and genocide

🟠 Solutions as deep as the crises we face

🟠 Public ownership, massive reinvestment in universal services, transfer of wealth from the top to everyone below.

Bike ridership on the Galloping Goose Trail completely blew past previous April records this year! Good weather surely helps, but this April surpassed even peak summer numbers experienced less than a decade ago.

If you give a shit about trans people at all, like a tiny bit, please tell your friends and neighbours not to vote conservative. They might not listen to you. But they might.
The Conservative platform is here, and a Pierre Poileivre
government says it would ban trans women from women's federal prisons.

There's also that line about broadly "protecting women's spaces in federal institutions and policy" that is worth noting 👀

The National Park Service has removed "T" and all mention of transgender people from the Stonewall National Monument.

Trans women were some of the most influential activists behind the Stonewall movement and what followed.

3 articles of clothing laws were why raids happened.

No jurisdiction that has reduced homelessness has ever done the following:

- frame the solution as the problem
- reduce housing and supports
- turn low-income housing into high-income housing

This is a good reminder! The Quadra/McKenzie Study is up against significant pushback, primarily around reduced car lanes to support bus lanes and the RapidBus line planned on McKenzie.
For my YYJ / Greater Victoria friends: I think today is the last day to take the Quadra/McKenzie Study Survey
