I didn't hate the pilot, but it tried to do way too much in too little time, and removed a lot of the bits from those points in the story that made it entertaining.

It's really weird that GMS's actions have led a lot of people to flip their opinions and say the Pale King did nothing wrong. Like yeah he was way more benevolent as a ruler but he also killed so many of his own children that their bodies form a geologic stratum under his kingdom.

Yeah I don't think the Hive is anyone's favorite area. The visuals and lore are interesting, but even after Hive Knight was added in the Lifeblood Update it was pretty empty.
