Words to live by for those of us building machines:

“We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity; more than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.”

To change culture - create MORE culture

Culture is simply someone’s distinctive choice leap-frogging through time.

New art, ideas, even silliness ripples until the pond shimmers in a new light.
Take a stand on a Lily Pad of your own intention, leap, make ripples, create culture. #frog #needlefelt

Evidence-based gun policies like child-access laws save lives.

With enough popular support, we can end #GunViolence. Impossible? Zero car-related fatalities sounds impossible too, but Helsinki recently did the impossible. Maybe we can do impossible things too.

What if all the Airtags in the world could talk to each other, and if they could relay encrypted text messages as part of a mesh network?

That's basically what @meshtastic.org but instead of proprietary Apple products it's open source and hackable hardware. Some are about as much $$$ as an Airtag.

A blackbird gathers twig and stem,
to nest her littles from mayhem
But I, being human, must weave instead
with living love and worlds I’ve read.

Let our nests be rich with views,
Braided ideas in many hues.
Let them read, let them decide
Unfettered love on which to glide.

Gun violence is preventable if we make it confrontable. We tend to stop thinking before we engage.

The only way to change culture is to make more culture.

One of my favorite bits of culture is this primer on trust: How it's built, how it falls apart, and how we can work to repair trust.

Go take some time and play it, definitely worth every second: ncase.me/trust/

Moms demand action
Mothers demand care
Mommy sprints, shoes in hand,
Racing heart suffocating air

Mama bear screams
Ma writes a letter
Mum is the word
On when it will get better

Mimi reads “Be Kind”
While Mee Maw posts a plea
Mommy mommy mommy…
Who will protect me?

If you are the type to host your own web apps, docs.paperless-ngx.com is fantastic. Index all the random PDFs, receipts, mail, whatever you get so you can grab what you need, when you need it. Run it on a Synology or something, you won't regret it.
Just a moment...
Verifying you are human. This may take a few seconds.
