I have that same Bolt plush as my bed buddy, though I could be convinced to have a yeen instead. 🤗

Bienvenue! 🇨🇦

Mix-maxing the game is a deep rabbit hole. As you unlock more stuff it does help to start planning a cohesive build ahead of a run and toggle off other weapons, tomes, and items though. 😅

But linear regressions will only ever show us correlations, and sometimes a collection of correlations can point to a causation, but it's still been reduced to a math problem that has been removed from the higher meaning of the variables that would be needed for reasoning why they are related.

Neural networks (including our brains) are correlation deduction machines. As science likes to remind us though: correlation is not causation. When there is causation it requires a higher order of reasoning and experimentation to prove. I think that is where actual intelligence starts to happen.

Me watching people cranking out endless slop on Sora, knowing each video likely cost several dollars worth of compute: 🔥☕🫠🔥

I've found that my relationship with the fandom has changed over time, partly because the fandom itself is growing and changing but also because what I want out of it has changed too. You don't have to stop being furry just because you don't engage with the wider fandom though. ❤️

Fun fact: If you run your own PDS, you can set it to signal that your account is age verified without having to verify anything (except to yourself I suppose). 🤷

I'm glad Bluesky has 3rd party apps, and even the option to run your own PDS or relay should that be necessary. 👍

Wow, I got lucky and won a sketch raffle from the legendary @moonstalker.net! You can too if you watch his Twitch stream where he draws them live: twitch.tv/MoonstalkerWolf 🎨💕

I hate when I go to create an environment and use conda instead of mamba but oops might as well wait now 🥲

And again, federating with Bluesky Social doesn't bind you to their policy. Obviously the server operator would want to make their own for legal reasons.

As far as I can tell, PDS servers can federate with each other and not with Bluesky Social, but that would cut you off from almost all Bluesky users. Nothing stops you from running an unfederated PDS that only you and your friends were on though, and Bluesky clients would still work with it too.

* And yes there are "moderation tagging services", some of which Bluesky turns on for users apparently, but that doesn't block the content as applications and users still have that control.

A PDS is an example, though currently the only network worth federating with is Bluesky. They can't moderate your content though and you don't have to federate with them if you want, but then it would be like a Mastodon server that is unfederated... 🤷

As far as I understand the PDSes don't require their servers, except that 99.9% of other users are on them. It's an open protocol so it's also possible to write other servers that could use it even if nobody has actually done it yet: atproto.com
AT Protocol

The silver lining is that Bluesky is technically decentralized, and even at the top of that document it notes these rules only apply to the official Bluesky Social service, but not to other servers using the AT protocol. People could make their own instances for this type of content.
