I also love how the title screen splits the text as if we’re watching a double feature, depicting two completely separate events on opposite ends of Calvin’s life.

Anyway, Allen and I loved the movie and I think more people should watch it. Not even for Hitler and Bigfoot (though the creature design is WILD), but for the man tasked with killing them.

He’s approached to kill Hitler and then (much later in life) the Bigfoot. Calvin makes the decisions with great care, reacting as if both asks are more of a hassle… and not the most insane thing anyone has ever asked of him either time!

Sam plays Calvin Barr, a fascinating hero with a straightforward and honest demeanor that makes you love and appreciate him right away.

This is a mesmerizing film because it’s not really about the two events in the title (don’t worry, they both happen). As the name implies, it’s about “The Man” who accomplishes said tasks.

Haha yeah I never finished 12 Monkeys. And I get what you mean with the BSG reboot, but I loved that show
