Personal reasons apparently.

And fair play he didn't.

Bravo

I think that would be a regressive step. TMO is there for better outcomes, not for performative "seen to be doing" nonsense.

If they can't stop the appealing I'd rather they turned off the ref mike and just have the TMO deliver their decisions to the ref without all the fan theatre.

Ah ok. If you have to go away to LEI or LAR or TLS or similar, maybe you just target the other 3 games anyway.

Tbh, it's probably an easier call than having one of the big ones at home, where you have to go fully loaded and may well still lose.

But Andy Goode is focusing on intent, like that's a material issue here.

Either of these offences could be penalized, and with yellow. But lack of intent does not stop either of them being an offence.

It's not just English sides. It's the reality of going 24->16.

La Rochelle away or Leinster away is a big call to go fully loaded. Also new WR player minutes/games management may contribute.

2-3 years non stop pressure on safety up to RWC23, with both SA and IRE very disciplined, the pressure on reds changed during RWC23 and has been clearly retreating for 2 years. 20 min reds and 'rugby incidents'!

Now suddenly this season safety pressure increasing again. It's guideline consistency!

I don't think there's a country in the world that punches its weight so well in taking all sports competition so seriously, so effectively. 2 yrs to build, at home, only a fool would underestimate.

Look after them, you're not finished with them.
December 3, 2025 at 8:45 PM
Same in principle as going into RWC23 - it's all about the group game with Scotland.

When are the actual fixtures scheduled, because where and when you play in those 3 weeks is also not insignificant.

If Ireland lose in a QF (again...) it means we have won R016 and therefore a RWC knockout game!

Street party on their return!

Steepness not altitude I guess, so maybe Mortirolo or Angliru, or even Hardknott in UK.

There's also the Steilhang in Kitzbuhel, which looks the worst to me.
