Laelia expands on why she was uncomfortable with necromancy when she and Emmrich first met, and the two idly talk about the comfort the necropolis brings while the two walk towards the Memorial Gardens.

I painted this as a sort of Leyendecker study—the style really does suit him so well.

Emmrich from Dragon Age the Veilguard performs necromancy to animate a skull. Painting style is based on Leyendecker’s art deco character paintings, with very warm tones and a black background.
