This week's episode is a look at the 1982 slasher movie deep cut, Mortuary. In an early role, Bill Paxton plays a necrophile creep in this trashy piece of exploitation grime.
Podcast: Mortuary
An early cash-in on the slasher movie craze is a massive exploitation movie whiff but at least it has Bill Paxton

Of interest to weirdos and paranormal folk: I've been staying at a place in TN near a road with a peculiar name. Turns out it has nothing to do with snot and everything to do with spooky bullshit and ghosts. Booger is a southern colloquialism for ghosts and this road is allegedly haunted as hell.

We were going to do Karate Warrior (The Boy In The Golden Kimono) for this week's 99 Cent Rental. It's a real wild ripoff of The Karate Kid but there is ZERO information out about this movie so we switched it up. We're doing Tentacles instead and I'm glad. This movie is nuts.

I'd pulla Kim Jong Il and kidnap filmmakers from other countries to produce all the crazy bullshit I have rolling around in my head.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

The kind of journalism we need.
* You know how Van Halen had a contract rider demanding bowls of M&Ms with the brown ones removed?

They later claimed that was all a test to make sure venues were reading their contracts. Clever!

BUT WAIT, that claim itself is actually false. I fact-checked it.

You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who’s coming to save you?

(The kidnappers are so fucked.)

I fucking love how Jean Rollin's vampires are always these bougie freak weirdos. They're like is Nadia, Nandor, and Lazlo weren't funny.

Can you hear the rumble that's calling?
I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you

Do yourself a favorite and check to see if the Jinkx and Dela Christmas show is playing near you. It's a fucking hilarious send-up of Tales From The Crypt with a ginger bread house instead of a haunted house and a puppet making morbid puns.

Our latest 99 Cent Rental is about how the D&D panic of the 80's was completely made up but this story from that episode is about how Vampire The Masquerade in the 90's was maybe a little too much for some people.

This week's episode is a look at Mazes & Monsters from 1982. Hear all about the 80's moral panic about Dungeons and Dragons and the movie that sought to spread the message. It's ridiculous.

Tyler Hyde from That's Spooky joins us for a look at qn 80's scare film that wants you to know about the dangerous world of Dungeons & Dragons!

Didn't the Red Scare podcast end up taking a right turn at some point? Ended up backed by Thiel money or something, part of that obnoxious Dimes Square scene in New York?
