Real ones know that Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars was the best Nintendo 3DS launch game.

Looks like a lot of the Switch 1 playtime stats I somehow lost in a console switchover are really gone for good (I absolutely played more Breath of the Wild than this), but this is still neat. It’s cool that the 3DS stuff has persisted.

Shoot, I didn't even know my shop had gas control and cutting systems. Or that I had a shop. I'm glad this AI-powered offer for an Oxy-Fuel audit showed up just in time.

Finally starting to catalog my physical game collection for the first time in more than a decade. Didn’t immediately love any of the services I was seeing so we’re just doing Google Sheets for now.

My son wanted to have a diary, so I gave him a little black notebook. He’s still learning to spell, so he wrote “Dire” in white text on the front instead of “diary,” and it just looks like an off-brand Death Note.

This is for “Ages 3 - 103” but they should honestly make a version geared toward adults. It’s a clever way to teach the different pieces and what they do, building on different mini games until you’ve learned all of chess.

Post a movie you like with a terrible rotten tomatoes score.
(Maybe not so terrible, but look, I did my part to try to make sure justice was done.

At some point I need to get the tool to open up SNES cartridges and make sure my copy of Earthbound is genuine. I bought it second-hand a *long* time ago, but I don’t know if it was long enough ago that counterfits didn’t exist.

I can’t find the notebook I’m looking for, but at least I found my binder full of GBA e-Reader cards.

I don’t always go for the special editions of books, but the stenciled edges of R.F. Kuang’s Katabasis were too cool to pass up.

In my defense it’s a scary box.

“Are You Afraid of the Dark? The Tale of Orpheo’s Curse” creeped my out in a lot of ways, but there was a dang skeleton scene that was scary and stressful.
Also, one of my dad’s friends had “D” on the Sega Saturn and just the box kind of creeped me out.

Either TikTok thinks I’m harassing my wife by using the word “hung” when referring to a TV that needs to be mounted OR TikTok is just being critical of my grammar here.

I love digging through these old game books I got out of storage because I find stuff like @cyan.com talking about the $600k budget for the original Myst (half of which came from Sunsoft) or how they were just referring to Riven as “The Sequel” but knew Myst would be in the title somewhere.

I don’t need to ask “What late-‘90s video game was the most prime candidate for a novelization?” because obviously the answer was Descent.

@janochoa.bsky.social You asked about Myst/Riven puzzle design docs. This book From Myst to Riven is more focused on art, story and tech, but it does have a section devoted to behind-the-scenes of puzzles. (Not showing other pages because of spoilers.)
They acknowledged Myst’s worst puzzle.
