This is not merely “unleash[ing] masked ICE agents on law-abiding immigrant families.” This is unleashing ICE on anyone (mis)perceived to be Latino. Like many native-born American Jews, this happens to me constantly in Latin contexts (Mexican grocery stores, cumbia dance nights, vacay In Miami).

A modest proposal: Let's pick a date and time on which every institution that has modified its policies and behavior to appease the administration simultaneously stops, leaving the administration completely overwhelmed with noncompliance. We can call it "Liberation Day."
