i was a residence hall director during the pandemic & from march - august 2020 lived alone in a dorm that normally held 700+ people. i did not touch another human being for those months; it was just me and my cat, and i was lonely & a thousand miles away from my friends & family.

this is the thing. these actions are helping people (me included!) build the capacity for resistance. this is a long game.
Here is the thing naysayers fail to understand: this is practice. Everybody gets together and throws sand in the gears of fascism for one day. Nobody has ever suggested that this is going to be the single day that changes everything. But stuff like this helps ppl organize+ prepare for larger actions
