I'm usually skeptical of self-help ideas that feel gimmicky but have to admit that I love this one. Having a why can make a lot of difference.

If there's increased attention on #legal #ethics and accuracy as a result of AI (catching fake cites, etc) then I think that's a net positive. Submitting fake, inappropriate, or misinterpreted cites is not new but efforts to catch those now has a fresh urgency & that's a good thing, in my opinion.

I guess I shouldn't complain since I'm getting it for "free" but I can't remember the last time I opened the Amazon Prime music app without it nagging me about upgrading to "Unlimited" or some other freemium feature.

I heard a #Copilot commercial on a #LegalTech podcast yesterday. Not that surprising, except...it was a commercial for the CONSUMER version of Copilot. No wonder lawyers are confused - they're hearing ads talking about features their version of Copilot doesn't have. 🤦‍♂️

One of the bigger mistakes I see firms make is skimping on #training. In almost every case good training on the tools your people use can help boost their #productivity and has a strong return on investment. Even people who have used a tool for quite a while can learn some new tricks.

At this point I don't think submitting AI-generated fake citations to the court is an "honest mistake". I may be overly harsh, but it feels like a violation of duty of technical competence to submit AI-generated cites without reviewing them 1st. #SchorrsLaw #ethics

Used a custom ChatGPT agent today to help me decide how I'm voting in the upcoming election. It was a helpful partner in the process even if I didn't always vote the way it recommended. #vote

Some of that tension to get more done with fewer resources is encroaching on essentials like...lunch. Try not to run your org so lean that your folks don't feel like they can even do the basics.

October is cybersecurity awareness month. Take advantage of the opportunity to do some thoughtful cybersecurity education for your team. Make it a regular part of your culture. A couple of minutes a week can be a lot more effective than the annual "Power nap in the conference room". #BeCyberSmart

What I'm hearing is more about slowing hiring rather than AI-driven layoffs. Employers who think they can get more productivity out of existing staff, whereas in the past they'd have brought on more staff.
