Ninja's debut coffee machine, the Luxe Café, is now available in Australia
A long year after it was first announced at IFA 2024, Ninja has finally brought its first coffee machine, the Luxe Café, to Australia. Coffee machines are a competitive market, and Ninja is a brand that likes to innovate with its products, so it's hardly a surprise that the Luxe Café isn't _just_ an espresso machine. Instead, it's a 3-in-1 system that combines espresso, cold brew, and filter coffee into one machine. It's like the coffee equivalent of the Ninja Combi 14-in-1 appliance – one benchtop device that does multiple jobs. The Luxe Café packs in some a huge list of features for its price. There's a built-in 25-setting conical burr grinder, an integrated scale for weight-based dosing, and what Ninja calls "Barista Assist Technology" that monitors your extractions and suggests grind size adjustments to prevent sour or bitter results. For espresso, you can pull single, double or quad shots, with an assisted tamper that compresses grounds evenly for consistent results. Cold brew fans get two options: traditional cold brew or a cold-pressed espresso mode that uses lower temperature and pressure for a smoother extraction. Filter coffee comes in three styles – classic, rich, or over ice – across seven different sizes. The frothing system is hands-free, combining steaming and whisking simultaneously with four presets: steamed milk, silky microfoam, thick froth, and cold foam. Ninja says it works with both dairy and plant-based milk. ## Pricing and availability The Ninja Luxe Café is available now for $999.99. The machine comes in four finishes: Stainless Steel, Midnight Black, Gunmetal and Cyberspace. There's also integrated storage for the tamper, funnel, baskets, brush and cleaning disc, which should help keep your benchtop tidy. Even though it's only just launched, you can already find it online for $200 off RRP. AEG expands Australian kitchen lineup with AI-powered appliances
Last year AEG launched its SapphirMatt cooktop, which was the result of an epic 10 year journey. This year, AEG is expanding its kitchen lineup with a range of new appliances that combine the sleek design aesthetic of the SapphirMatt with innovative functionality. There is a whole range of new products to consider, from innovative AI-powered steam ovens to whisper quiet dishwashers and stunning 6-star energy-rated fridges. The launch represents AEG's most extensive kitchen range introduction in Australia to date, spanning every major kitchen category and marking the long-awaited return of AEG refrigeration to the Australian market after a significant absence. "This launch redefines what's possible in the kitchen," says Dominic Wong, Category Manager – Taste, Electrolux ANZ. "The kitchen has always been the centrepiece of the home — and the new range ensures it also becomes the most intelligent and visually refined space in the house." All products feature AEG's signature black colourway and refined Berlin-inspired design, creating a cohesive aesthetic throughout the kitchen. Sustainability remains central to the collection, with models incorporating recycled materials and energy-efficient technologies. ## AI-Connected Ovens with professional features The hero oven model, the NBP9S83PAT, delivers professional-level performance through its CookSmart Touch+ interface, which offers guided recipes and step-by-step instructions on a smart display. The AI-assisted cooking feature allows users to send recipes directly to their oven through the AEG App, which automatically adjusts settings for precise results. The SteamPro function enables users to bake, roast, and steam with versatile cooking modes including steam, sous-vide, and combined cooking techniques, bringing professional kitchen capabilities into the home. ## Sustainable refrigeration AEG's new fridges focus heavily on sustainability. The hero model, the OSC7P19ACF, achieves a six-star energy rating while offering 45 per cent more capacity than the brand's standard-size fridge. The construction incorporates up to 70 per cent recycled plastic in the inner cavity and 15 per cent recycled plastic overall, balancing environmental responsibility with functionality. Advanced features keep ingredients fresh and hygienic, supporting the brand's focus on helping home chefs achieve professional results. ## FlexiBridge cooktops with SapphirMatt surface Building on last year's SapphirMatt innovation, the new cooktop range (hero model NIK95I00FZ) features the FlexiBridge function, allowing users to customise their cooking area for larger pans or multiple dishes. The PowerSlide function enables effortless movement between sear, simmer, and hold temperatures. The SaphirMatt AntiScratch surface offers superior durability and resistance to everyday wear compared to standard ceramic hobs, maintaining its sleek appearance over time. ## Whisper-quiet dishwashers The new dishwasher range, led by the FBF9433SBA, focuses on convenience and quiet operation. ComfortLift technology raises the lower basket for easier loading and unloading, while the ExtraSilent programme operates at just 44dB(A) – quieter than a typical library. AirDry technology maximises drying performance through natural airflow, improving energy efficiency by automatically opening the door at the end of the cycle to allow moisture to escape naturally. ## Availability The new AEG range is available now through authorised retailers. Fridges are open for pre-order with deliveries commencing from 15 December 2025.
