Nothing exemplifies Vancouvers superior night life like Japadog. The open to 3am Japanese hot dog place that serves amazing natural casing snappy hot dogs covered in mayo, nori, yakisoba, bonito. Or other kinds of crazy.

One of the best things in Vancouver period.

It's not 80/20 of the sphere it's more like 50/20 with some serious compromises. The best seat is in between the exits 3 rows up due to the focal point. This place was never designed for it and it's impressive it's able to do it at all.

Still well worth it.

The biggest problem is the wall panel seams. If stuff is dark and your focal point is moving fast like space in an asteroid field works the best. When it's a static bright image the effect falls apart.

I saw this on LTT basically sold as the "Vegas sphere at home" I haven't been and only watched on UFC but if you are looking for "vr without glasses" that effect happens... Sometimes.

Had an amazing conversation with a chef and knife maker who is making custom knives in Canada. Have the whole thing on video.

Granville is the place for jelly cats. Two stores sell many rare jellycat items.

You will pay dearly for them though.

Vanvouver. Wtf is wrong with you.

I could spam endlessly about grainville island and maybe will, but it's seriously one of the top 3 things in vancouver. You could spend a whole weekend here exploring every little store.

You can compare it to Pikes place market but it's so much more fun, extensive, and diverse.

Also got this berry tea which was super interesting. Large selection of freshly roasted coffee and serious coffee equipment.

Went down to Elysian coffee based on James Hoffmans story on Clover.

I think they take their coffee seriously. I've had better coffee experiences but this variety was so interesting with its strong blueberry flavor, picked up a bag for home.

Aquabus seems expensive for $4.50 one way to go a few hundred meters. Clearly a tourist tax for one way vs. The monthly cost but at least Sammie seems to enjoy the water.

One of the best charcuterie and meat stores I've ever been to. I'd want to buy everything and smuggle it home to Seattle.

Got this bison pepperoni stick and going to smuggle it in my stomach.

Delicious.

Breakfast was included with my room. It included one drink, one side and one entree which is pretty generous.

Quality was fantastic smoked salmon on eggs Benedict can be overpowering on either hollandaise, capers, or salmon but this one was balanced.

Surprising was the pork sausage being tender.

I didn't know these were a Canadian thing till someone pointed it out.

Imagine peach rings, much firmer and significantly more peachy flavor with a slight hint of sourness.

Much better than I remember.

Got a wine from my favorite winery in this really nice store.

Turns out the cold snap destroyed the grape harvest so they collabed with Washington grapes and barreled them in BC.

Story was too good and fit my life to well to ignore.
