It IS government funds.

The amount of tax you pay (or not) doesn't grant you special privileges.

How about giving users the right to be forgotten so users can reset how they are targeted by "the algorithm".

Their motive is collecting personal information and selling it as a service, attack their business model, not their users.

The Social Media Police are bigger problem than misinformation. SMP are driven by vengeance and punish the victims of social media corporations.

Users can and do debate what is and isn't correct, has and always will be that way.

Main stream media is a bigger source of misinformation, eg sky news

Good point, but there is varying political power weilded by society vs. leaders, that's what separated authoritarians and strong democracies. (I guess)

The left shares political power with society more willingly than the right does.

Our climate targets are for ourselves, what we control, scope2.
Fossil fuel exports are for other countries, and scope3.
We can control what we export to other countries, but we can't control what other countries import, so stopping exports ourself isn't meaningful.
That's why COP is so important.

Libs have been chasing hard right vote for two decades, following Hansen.

Conservatives control the "Liberals", moderates are pushed out, but it hasn't work electorally. Voters choose independents.

Voters know media spin here.

Chasing extremists has put the Liberal party in a doom loop.

Remember the concern about rock music in thr 70's, Knights In Satan's Service etc... well, Australia is going through a crazy moment like that with social media.

Politicians dont have the right brain type to understand tech.
