This was only intended to be a simple image with the two of them in their unused outfits (personal favourites btw ☝️) from the various concept drawings.

Further expanding this into a full blown "wallpaper" (it doesn't meet up the apropriate size to fit in for the current day monitor, but you could still technically work around this if you could) thing was not part in the script. The process was slow if you didn't figure out by now. I could only count the times I kept coming back to both add things and polish the said things as I desired. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy doing that at all btw. I'm very much happy with the end results actually coming together when I wasn't certain.
As to why I did this... I dunno, I was feeling nostalgic after stumbling upon some images where the stock renders of some characters from various popular series (although it was from Shaman King in my case) would be pasted onto those vortex/web styled backgrounds that have no rhyme or reason other than to make that look cool... and it sure did have an effect on me. I think there are some old fansites or even dA that still has these, you'll just need to look hard enough though.
