Paul Ross, alias le PFK Kid de Pea Soup, est décédé. Son personnage a incarné une idée du Québec, ses paradoxes, ses travers. Sûrement le plus célèbre personnage du catalogue de Vidéographe ! Je n'oublie pas que, derrière lui, il y avait deux artistes d'exception, Pierre Falardeau et Julien Poulin.

Le PFK Kid est décédé

The modern internet operates on the illusion of consent, burying the true cost and conditions of participation deep inside Terms of Service documents. If I think about this too often my eye starts twitching. So, I suggest an alternative: become a Happy Website Proprietor.

We actually downloaded Wikipedia, images and all. It sits on a Synology Drive and it feels good knowing be backed up bits of Useful Internet.

Do you ever think about the fact that Wikipedia is the last good major website on the internet? You aren't bombarded with ads. It doesn't try to push video on you, and it doesn't redirect you to a scam site.

Je suis auto-promotion-vidée, découragée par les grèves de la STM et de la Poste et tannée de de me faire crisser des bâtons dans les roues. Je sens un besoin viscérale de faire des belles images pour moi, pour le fun, parce que c'est le truc qui me fait tripper le plus. Faut juste trouver le temps!

I specify in the mailing profile that it does not include tracking. Only one of two people ever requested it. A few prints got lost in Australia and I had to resend it but it’s part of the risk! If it’s lost, it’s lost.

There is no universe in which delivering a 9x12 flat mailer through a parcel service would be cheaper and easier than going through Canada Post. My entire print business depends on this.

I sell letter-size prints ONLY, to benefit from the sweet, sweet Canada Post letter mail service. Most of my sales are local, to the point that I could physically deliver them by foot. Turns out, walking up the stairs to a stranger's house is NOT COOL. I would gladly pay 5$ to avoid this.

Letters are urgent business.
Canada Post offers 2-4 day delivery for letters.
Bank cards, drivers licenses, voting cards, medical appointments, cancer biopsy results, abnormal cervical screenings, blood tests, jury duty, court dates, university transcripts, parking tickets, passports, and legal documents are all mailed through Canada Post.
Letters are not flyers.
They are not Burger King coupons.
