1) this was definitely completed by low level employees doing the actual work of governance.
2) Trump is weird, and his actual beef with solar/wind is how it impacts the property value of his golf courses. You could probably convince him to hard commit to geothermal just by saying "lava is hot"

It falls on my shoulders, like the ancients before me, to look at a relatively fun all-rounder fantasy rpg system (Fabula Ultima) and ask the question "how can I make this Star Wars?"

I think the belief by the powerful that "people will put up with many things if you are excellent at math" is incredibly revealing in terms of understanding How We Got Here
