NORCO is one of my all time favorite games and if you get it for 65% off that’s highway robbery on I59 and also I10 so you really should just jump on this
NORCO's a Christmas game. 65% off on Steam through December 12th.

i want you to think about how many books you read this year and then note how you're going to change that starting today

not enough time? stop scrolling reels, shorts, tiktok - you arent shocked at how many collective hours a day being flushed down the toilet, you're just letting it happen

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

No, I 100% agree that computer RPGs these days have too much handholding. I, too, yearn for the days of being able to spend hours crafting my perfect build from hundreds of available options, only to discover that it mathematically cannot survive the mandatory rat fight portion of the first dungeon.

web search results are such a wasteland now and I hate it

I miss finding cool information on websites that were clearly personal passion projects, or giant FAQs formatted in pure ASCII that explained everything about a niche topic

really hope this final season of Stranger Things gets more people to read A Wrinkle in Time bc that book changed my entire life as a kid

cannot stress enough that if you’re feeling numb, disconnected from life, and disillusioned with everything in it- go outside

go to the park, volunteer in your community, go to game meetups, do anything that snatches you from the loop of the internet bc it’s truly vile here and you will feel better

i seriously need to go outside this weekend

The amount of people I know who have been laid off from games industry jobs and are deciding to leave games entirely as a result is not only extremely saddening (of course), but also genuinely scary. We have lost legitimately thousands of years of knowledge and experience in the last four years.

Clarie Danes plays an author (WHO IS GAY), years behind on her next book, living in an old house thats falling apart at the seams which pretty much mirrors her own mindset and the whole thing is rainy and moody and mysterious and im eating so good

Every time you use AI slop in your game, even as a placeholder, even if it's supposed to be temporary, you're helping to destroy the video game industry little by little.

its so weird going through Hard Times and not wanting to post about it bc if feels so demoralizing and embarassing

then going through Good Times but not wanting to post about it bc it makes you feel like you're rubbing it in other peoples faces while the world burns

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back
