#Sorghum is cultivated by #Turkana farmers in the banks of Turkwell river. They burn-and-slash to open land for cultivation and use earthen canals to irrigate the fields.

Hard day of #fieldwork against the Dhofari wind, but still lots of ethnoarchaeological samples coming home! We are almost at 800 now 😎 Fewer dromedaries today though, so I am using a photo of them crossing the lagoon a couple of days ago 🐪🌊

Ethnoarchaeological sampling started in #Dhofar, south #Oman! Already 300 and counting.. (and some dromedaries)
