Quite seriously: when you see an author endlessly promote their book, and you get tired of it, remember that only a small fraction of their network sees any single post, let alone their network’s network. And be kind to each other.
This is why the folks complaining about self-promotion need to get bent. Finally bought this because it struck my fancy at the moment, excited to dig in.

I know this country normalizes it, but it's wild that in order to get my blood pressure or my cholesterol checked, I have to pay hundreds of dollars in premiums every month, another $30 for each visit, agree to arbitration, and relinquish my right to a jury trial.

Breaking News: The U.S. blocked the UN Security Council from moving forward on a Palestinian bid to be recognized as a full member state at the United Nations. The vote was 12 in favor of the resolution and one — the U.S. — opposed, with two abstentions.

I’ve been working with a project idea for a long time (including doing tons of research), and now pressure has materialized the idea into drafts. Next month, I’ll start sharing the work here as it will be part of The Fresno 15 fundraiser alongside Juan Felipe Herrera and Hermelinda Hernandez.
