Yesterday I bought 2 pairs of new jeans. It's the first time I have bought new pants for myself in over 2 years that were because I wanted them, not because it's all I could afford.
I still shopped until I found an affordable deal, but I feel so.... comfortable, and pretty.

My heart always swells.and melts when my 18yo son surprises me.with these signs of. Love.
I got a surprise text from him asking my favorite colour. I told him blue and purple. The next night he gave me this, alo.g with a big hug. He made it while sitting for at Tim Hortons with a friend.

It's Sunday! I have my sourdough pizza dough on It's second sitting in the fridge and will freeze it tonight, and 2 loaves of sourdough bread rising to bake this morning so I can make my sourdough dressing for Thanksgivimg dinner on the 13th (I will freeze the bread once it is cool)

A lot of the people I follow on Threads are now having their accounts flagged as being part of "Antifa". Apparently this is a terrorist organization that is literally anti-facist. Their voices are being stifled because they believe in freedom... hmmm... goodbye Threads!

My daughter is in grade 8. Today one of her teachers had a discussion/mini lesson about 9/11. My daughter came home, and we talked about the loss of life that day. The heroes, the fear, the grief. I talked about what I was doing that morning as I watched the news and saw this unfold live.

Biopsy is done. I am home. I am tired. Achy. And I want pizza, poutine, and ice cream. And a nice hot chocolate with whipped cream.

I didn't sleep much last night. I couldn't turn off my brain. Finally fell asleep around 2:30am. My alarm went off at 5:50am.
I need this testing over with, so that I can get the good news that it's benign, and then I can sleep.

Feeling a lot of things right now. And while I expect that everything will turn out okay, there's a small part of my that's a little bit scared.
I am going to be fine though. It just feels like my body is imploding. But everything will turn out okay.
