Oregonian who lived near Chicago for 40 years, moved to Portland in retirement. If I follow you it's because I'm interested. Member of the Baha'i Faith. We go to a lot of classical music concerts.
What a delightful memory, and I was there in real time!

I adored Peapod in Chicago when I had little kids and no car. However, I still went to the fresh fruit markets. And fees and tips add up. They are great for stocking up, but one Thanksgiving Peapod ran out of turkey!

I have never had so much fun as writing my "senior" romance where those two people know exactly what they want.

I remember those days! My mother wore the most beatiful pants suits and she looked so great in them, that those barriers crashed and burned!

Don't discount Portland, which decided to make ICE look cosplay ridiculous and every city and protest copied the look. It completely changed the narrative and media could not look away from the silliness of it. Also, not in flames, an easily disproved claim.

The huge truck belongs to the small business and so is tax deductible. Same with the football season tickets, a business expense.

I used to live around the corner, literally a block away, for 25 years. My children attended both Oakton and Chute. That this happened in the intersection of Asbury and Oakton is incredible to me.

Not to brag or anything, but I watched the live broadcast of that.
