And the in game characters treat him this way too. I'm glad nefer's voice line exists and she has something nice to say about him that isn't reminiscing on who he once was. (Partly because she didnt know him then but anyway...)
So many characters only talk favorly about him past tense.

Young diluc was childish and naive. I would hope he'd change. That's what growing up is. Not saying he needed to have the worst birthday ever for that to happen but acting like past diluc is better than current diluc just...
