The original King Kong. From age 4, it awakened my love of giant monsters and stop motion animation. I’ve been doing stop motion for years now. Here’s a Godzilla short ad I made playing in the pre-roll of a Fathom Events “Godzilla 2000” showing.
So yeah. Kong is both influential AND my favorite!

My choice: Chronicles of Riddick. Took a HARD turn from the tone of Pitch Black, but I was all about a high concept sci-fi banger starring a protagonist who absolutely doesn’t fit, and yet fits perfectly.
