At some point the industry got tired of SPA "Spinnergeddon" and we shifted to SSR. The TTFB/FCP became an issue, so we went deep into Suspense and Streaming and it somehow feels like we are just back to Spinnergeddon, but with more steps.

Anyone can write code, but an engineer solves complex problems with systematic thinking, then validates, tests, and documents their solutions.

Both amazing for its power and frightening for the security implications.
What is the MCP Protocol, and why is it spreading so rapidly across IDEs, with all major ones having added support (Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, Zed, Cline and Neovim)?

I've given a lot of interviews over the years, and when I see candidates struggle, it makes me step back and start to question the interview process itself. We should always make sure that we design interview processes to bring the best out of every candidate; a hard, but necessary challenge.

End of an era. While the css-in-js model has its shortcomings, especially in the new trends of RSC/SSR, I have always enjoyed the SC API and my hats off to them for all the great work over the years.

We need to recognize AI engineering as a dedicated discipline, demanding specialized knowledge, methodologies, and a fundamentally different approach. It's time to stop thinking in terms of 'learning new skills' and start building dedicated AI engineering teams.

"Simplicity always beats complexity" is a core value I list on my resume and always get asked about in interviews. I consider this a core principle that should be applied to every project.
