I loved this interview @jessethorn.bsky.social - great to hear more about Angelo & Chris and their Fishbone journey. I’ve been a fan since the ‘80s and saw them play a couple times (at Concert Hall) in Toronto in the ‘90s. Best live shows - they are magic.🏁🏁🏁

But I feel good and I feel fortunate. And I hope that this hair goes on to help see someone through their own challenges, which likely make my own blips seem absurd by comparison.

3) Some new work possibilities, reconnection & change.
4) Both kids officially out of high school (!!!), personal epiphanies, and a shedding of ‘that which no longer serves,’ which is a great place to be with a new haircut.

Anatomy of a hair donation:
1) a couple trims since 2019, but that hair accompanied me into my ‘50s.🙏🏻
2) a whole lotta uncharted turf - global pandemic, grad studies that started in person but switched to online, and professional upheaval that left me spiralling into a total imposter-syndrome funk.
