I'm always impressed by the thoroughness of the Bike East Bay advocacy. Keep up the great work!

Is it Urbans Arrow or Urban Arrows? Love a garage full of awesome bikes!

For sure, seeing more people out enjoying a city and getting things done outside of a car has a huge impact. Anecdotally I swear we have double in cargo bikes in the past year or so. Wish I had better data!

I’m not even sure we need a large portion to start feeling a huge impact. It’s so much more attainable to drop one car in a family and save huge amounts of money than it is to go to zero. We need more of it!

They also owned a bunch of real estate and didn’t want property values to tank because undesirables that take trains might show up. Caltrain serves a similar purpose now but having options and more trains would’ve been amazing!

From what I’ve read the main mall in the City of San Mateo (Hillsdale Mall) was one of the main supporters of keeping BART out of San Mateo County. They were worried that shoppers would just go to the larger Downtown SF shopping districts.

As a bonus the local collision repair places often store these banged-up cars on public streets!

This local street is slated for bike lanes in our Bike Master Plan but I can almost guarantee this business would come out in force to stop that plan because they would lose their free storage space.

“Whether these changes will make drivers happy, however, is another story.”

What a weird way to end this article. Not holding my breath for drivers to become super happy about anything after experiencing driving on Bay Area highways.

Whoa, these are amazing. Not sure I’ll see something this good in my local city anytime soon but I love it!

I’ve been meticulously adding a smiley face via text box. Might be time for a Pogačar sticker because this sounds way easier!
