PSA: if anyone in your life is trying to dissuade you from getting the shingles shot, you should probably assume that person hates you, and wants you to suffer. There is literally no other explanation.

I am baffled by this because I have had so many friends with shingles and NONE of them made it sound fun. Not one. A vaccine that made me absolutely miserable for 48 hours would still be a huge improvement over the mildest case of shingles I've heard of. (Also it made me tired for 1 day.)

I am beyond upset, YouTube has age restricted my video tonight for thinking it depicts real actual gambling. The video is on CloeverPit and contains no real gambling, but does contain a massive charity push for The Trevor Project. Last time this happened I almost quit YouTube

I did a video about Destiny doing this a decade ago and researching the field completely changed my decision making on what games I play.
Yup. Phone and software devs worked in collaboration with social scientists to figure out how they could design their products to prey on the most VULNERABLE and ADDICTION-PRONE parts of the brain. They've been training us like DOGS in order to keep us endlessly engaged with their products.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".
