The problem with that is that if one of these failed HCs succeeds as a coordinator they’ll be hired away to be a head coach again. Even Josh McDaniels got a second chance at a HC job

I think Brady is a lot more interested in defending the sclerotic Philly Dem machine than he is in the party winning state or national elections. They’d rather have lazy do-nothing committee people who lose national elections rather than activists who might support a local primary challenger

I would argue that capitalism actually precipitated the collapse of absolute monarchy in Europe. Early modern kings became dependent on the early bourgeoisie to pay the taxes that made standing armies possible, but to extract those taxes they had to start sharing political power or face revolts

Small houses on small lots, a little commercial area you could reach without crossing a stroad, a small apartment complex. It was still obviously very auto-centric but kids living there still could have some degree of independence. Compared to that modern subdivisions are truly dystopian
