Cattleya buds just opened; they are so beautiful and so fragrant. Purple dendrobium has been in bloom for a minute. Wanted to share their beauty at the end of another tough week.

There are many different types of sewing machines in my collection. Was always missing the perfect in between heavy duty machine, until I found the MJ Foley Co in New Baltimore, MI.

Well, tomorrow begins this chick’s 70th year around the sun. Celebrated the 69th completion with favorite breakfast, flowers, 🌺 shopping, gifts, a Mac and fries for dinner 🤤 (a rarity, in fact almost never), and cheesecake with nectarine topping. Feeling very loved.

Amish chickens were on huge sale the day before the ‘sell by’ date. Bought 2 as we had only 2 qts of soup left!

Surprisingly, the cutting out, not my fave, is kinda soothing on this rainy Friday. The accessory choosing, usually a fun part of the process, not so much…don’t have exactly the hardware I’d like but will sub & not buy anything but what is absolutely necessary ! #sewingismysuperpower #H2OtoGoslings

There are lots of phalanopsis in spike in my windows, a dendrobium about to open, and this fragrant cattleya that opened Monday. African violets in bloom perpetually and the Christmas cactus, despite it initially looking questionable, is still in bloom. They have brought a bit of joy this week.

Far too many photos of the unfortunate events of the last 24 hrs. Plus it’s a single digit day in the mitten, so here is a delightful cattleya. Opened yesterday. Gotta love indoor winter blooms!!
