Take a look at Wilma's words, highlighing the tremendous psychosocial stress that TNB in transitions must face in their everyday life ⤵️

Congratulations for such an amazing achievement!🥳

EB may reflect the #presentist #temporality #regime in the #practice of psychology, emphasizing #performative #techniques over context-specific, future-oriented competences, marking a key force that has shaped and will shape psychological #research.

We argued #EB can be seen as the results of two dynamics: a re-enactment of the #positivist aim to formalize biopsychological #phenomena (endo-genesis) and the answer to new socioeconomic and individual needs of modern Western institutions (exo-genesis).

When I was a PhD student, surely! Sometimes, also added some relevant milestones in the signature (latest paper published and/or something others could enjoy!).

Or like, the Dean: "Here's a 4 hours workshop on time management". Me (at that time really happened): "Cool, but we do not have time".

Silence in the room.

Really, really interesting! Going to study it soon!

Then, organitation should be aware that what they value (productivity and success) are not something objective to be reached like a bottle, but reflect socioeconomic and cultural values that might act on some subjects rather than other, thus being exclusive and losing much potential for innovation:)

Ehm, that is something you are saying, not me. Perhaps, I was not clear enough; however, I did not touch at all the topic. Having said that, also "highly productive" and "successfull people" can experience stressful and harmful situation. I am not getting the point of your provocation (???)

Wow! Very, very interesting!

«I would say that it was #isolation. #Selfdoubt, like the imposter syndrome. I didn’t feel I belonged to the #academia for what I was doing».

«It was not just me that wasn’t good enough for the academic setting, but it was an #institutional tendency to treat #mentalhealth as a private matter».

Hi Rebecca! I believe RTA is really flexible, making it suitable also for observing/analyzing groupal exchanges (whether it be dynamics or something else). Indeed with RTA you can have a pre-defined theory orienting your unit of analysis. Otherwise, you can also opt for conversational analysis:)
May 2, 2025 at 2:58 PM
Other, they can opt for a (Refl.) Content Analysis if the interest is more on the content itself. However, given what you share, a valid alternative to RTA could be Discourse Analysis (DA): however, there you have a stronger theoretical framework to follow (all critical discourses theories).

Generally RTA provides a theoretically flexible (ie, applicable on a diverse set of research questions and/or empirical data) though epistemologically rigorous method of data analysis. And you can move between/within several layers of analysis (more content-driven or more interp.-driven).

Hi! If I understood correctly, you alteady collected your data through Focus Groups, right? And that your data corpus is the transcription/verbatim of verbal interactions of the group, right? Anyway, I think that (Reflexive) Thematic Analysis by Braun and Clark might be really useful for you!

Truly interesting reflection! Resonates a lot. So far, I haven't find a clear theor-ethical position; though, my social practice is surely positioned!
