I finished this Blade dice set last year but didn't release it because of the unfortunate timing of the Shapeways bankruptcy. I'm working on a licensing agreement to have a production run of these and the Min set produced in 2026 Q1. #dice #rpg #dnd

Things I have learned about pewter casting this week:
1. Superfine graphite > Talc
2. 300F mold preheat > 400F mold preheat
3. Surface detail quality correlates to whacks with the wrench while the pewter is molten. More whacks > fewer whacks.

I made a set based on Catalan solids with numbers repeated multiple times. The d4, d6, and d8 are on the three different Catalan d24s, the d10 is on a d30, the d12 is on the d48, and the d20 is on a d60. I also wonder why granularity between d20 and d100 hasn't caught on in RPGs.

I prefer the rhombic dodecahedron to the platonic dodecahedron for some d12 designs because it has a more pleasing ratio of vertices to sides. #dice #nature #metal
