A gentoo penguin going through a catastrophic molt. Gentoos molt all their feathers at once, requiring them to build up calories before the molt, then stay as still as possible so as not to burn too many calories.

Fur Seal, Antarctica. Fur seals can rotate their front limbs, making them extremely quick on land at 12.5 mph. True Seals (earless seals) can only "inchworm" on land and do not sit up like this.
