Job onboarding in a foreign country sounds exciting if I think about it for one second then very stressful if I think about it for 2 or more seconds.

One podcast I support calls it "buying a movie ticket" for a livestream event that's only for paid subscribers, and I think that's a nice way to think of it
(subscribing and immediately unsubscribing feels a bit cheeky, until you're told it's okay)
