I played a full analog ambient set, mixing some lush pads on the Volca Keys, and some various sounds on the MicroFreak, a combination that seems to be a nice fitthansk to Ambient Italia & Realtà Acusmatica for having me!

THE DRY STONE [NO SOUND OF WATER] is an hybrid project that layers a data sonification of the rivers Po’s drought, an electroacoustic improvisation (featuring Angelo Brezza on drums and Andrea Marinelli on electronics) and reactive visuals (by Gabriele Faoro).

Inside Studio 3 of the Radiotelevisione svizzera (RSI) we proposed a 4-channel excerpt of the project, joined by fellow musicians and researchers: now the catalog of the event is out on Galaad Edizioni, and a short paper about the project can be found there.

And just to contradict all this reasoning, I am preparing a brand new live set for ALTRI SUONI - on November 20 in Genoa, Italy - where I will explore even more of a dawless approach to live performance, using machines and effects that I have always used in the studio until now.

The more rhythmic textures with field recordings have found new life in the A/V project “recursions/resonances,” some ominous synths continue to reappear, played on different instruments, all accompanied by the ever-present MakeNoise 0-coast, which I rarely manage to do without.
