The Cheshire Roll of Honour is creating a single source memorial roll to all those from the county who have served in conflicts from the Boer War to the present day. MA in FWW @wlv_uni
The restoration of Houston’s memorial has begun.
Massive thank you to the Grosvenor estate, Western Front Service Ltd. especially Terry Berry for making a nine hour round trip to the Grosvenor Estate today.
Groundwork due to be done February. Rededication 22 July 2025.

A truly wonderful morning spent with D-Day veteran Bernard Morgan, 483 Group Control Centre RAFVR. Bernard landed on Gold beach, K sector at 18.30 June 6, 1944. Recording his memories of the day, will be played back to my groups when we visit the Normandy beaches next year.

The Crewe tractor in France (IWM Q2662) A Model T Ford adapted by the railway engineers in the LNWR Crewe works. The second picture at Crewe testing the turntable fixed underneath so it could be easily turned around on a single track. The design drawing shows the location of the turntable jack.

Lance Corporal William Alfred Moon, from Chester. Shot at Dawn. The transcript of his trial is now on his page.

The letter written by Lt. Colonel Aspinall was presented at the trial, the letter is dated 23 June 1916, 10 days later, 3 July 1916, he was KIA.
