Monday's meeting of Starmer, Macron and Merz could turn out to be even more important because of the US national security strategy. They need to decide whether to say in public what they are thinking in private: that the threat is no longer just Putin, it's also Trump

I love soccer and I remember each World Cup with great intensity and always so much look forward to the next. But FIFA that was disgusting, even more disgusting than usual, and now I just can’t. And won’t.

The European Union is an economic bloc with both GDP and population to rival the USA’s (they’re both slightly higher). It is slowly waking up to the new strategic realities of the world on defence, too.

Not hard to see why many Europeans don’t see Elon’s posts as the kind concern on a friend.

This is pretty much exactly like a European saying the United States should be abolished, so that the governments of individual states can better represent their people.

It’s a take, you’re entitled to it, but what’s it got to do with you, buddy?

1. Set up an account with someone like Hargreaves Lansdown. Put in money. Press buy.

2. You can sell bonds easily if you need the money. There's a very liquid market.

He lives in a French chateau, it seems. The Gaul of these people is breathtaking.
David Coburn, former leader of UKIP Scotland & mentioned in WhatsApp messages sent between Gill and his handler answers "no" when a journalist asks him if he took money to give a speech to promote pro-Russian campaigners.

The video of him outside his chateau is lol

It’s not a bias. It’s a transaction. Tens of millions of Ukrainian lives and the remnants of American respectability in exchange for an increase in the private fortunes of a few people.

Instead, they go "huh, lots of people seem to be using salary sacrifice schemes, let's end those" because Labour seems determined not to try to change anything major – or even moderate – but instead is set on tinkering around the edges.

What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.

The resignations of Tim Davie and Deborah Turness must be an opportunity for the BBC to turn a new leaf, rebuild trust and resist those like Nigel Farage who want to destroy it

We must stand up for a strong, independent BBC, to stop Trump’s America becoming Farage's Britain.
