need more people to understand that if a maker/artist doesn't ship to your country, it's not like we're trying to just exclude you for no reason 💦 it's almost always because of logistics problems/cost/compliance w/ various legalities making it unfeasible

the funny thing about wanting to make things is it seems to put you down the road to learning how to make other things

(idk anything about videography but I need to make some video content for a merch project so LOL)

I tend to find the wording style of generic "professional marketing" posts very off-putting because I think it lacks flavor and identity but also I have to maintain SOME level of formality when working with certain people so there's a delicate balance here __(:'3

pretty sure part of why this has proliferated is because saying "this sucks" generates reactions --> more feedback/engagement in the social media machine but when people carry that over into conversations outside of socmed algo-fishing I'm kinda like "did your thinking never mature or??"

I feel like there are a lot of people who never learned how to process the thought line of "I don't like this thing" --> "this thing isn't for me" instead of turning it into "this thing sucks"

I distinctly remember this being taught/guided when I was a child in elementary school so???

I think I've been running into increasing issues with sending packages overseas lately o<-< wondering if it's because of....y'know the whole political situation

I know this all sounds a bit corny LOL but I would never take my position here for granted, and that's why I put in so much effort. The effort is because being able to keep doing art and design as I am now is so important to me, not because I'm chasing a level of ranked achievement or anything

ppl used to tell me as a kid that "you can only do creative stuff as a career if you're The Best" but experience has shown me that's not true. I've never thought I was The Best (and never wished to be) in my field(s); I just had to find my place in the scene

just thinking about how fortunate I am to be able to make art and design merch and stuff as my career, like what an amazing thing it is that enough people continue to support me such that I can do this
