Any gift ideas for a young man who’s helped me out and into woodworking? It doesn’t need to be a big deal

A new study has found that Chattanooga, Tennessee's decision to build their own affordable community-owned fiber broadband network has driven $5.3 billion in economic benefits back to the community.

I don't have a problem with people who hunt for meat but I don't like it when people bait deer with salt licks or whatever. I live in the only part of my county where hunting isn't allowed and some dipsh!t shot a deer and left it to die a couple weeks ago. I don't know if it was a doe or a buck

I will stand.
Good things are the joy-bringers.
I will face the good things.
I will permit them to pass over me and through me.
When the good things have moved on, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the good has gone there will be something.
Joy will remain.
Scorpio: Good things are headed your way. You can run, but you can't escape them. There's nowhere to go. They're everywhere. They've already taken most of the city, destroying the ennui of thousands. They are coming for you. THEY ARE COMING.

You don't ruin good things, by the way. Just in case you have Trauma Brain f*cking w/ you today to the tune of "you ruin everything you touch." It does that-- & it doesn't actually care if you ruin things.

It's just trying to get you to feel like garbage. It does that.

The shooter was a former CIA trained operative from Afghanistan. He had nothing to do with Somalia. And even if he'd been Somali, how is it ever okay to blame 40,000 people for the actions of one? Only fascist regimes believe in collective punishment.

You can’t tell if someone is disabled just by looking at them.

There’s no such thing as the “genuinely disabled”.

You are not entitled to a person’s entire medical history just so you can decide whether to believe them or not.

People are not faking disability, most are trying to fake being well.

She was eventually let go, per David Goodhue of the Miami Herald, who also took this footage:
