A reminder if you use libraries (bc sometimes ppl are apologetic to authors about it) - don't be! We get paid! I get almost as much per borrow as I do per sale! And I LOVE libraries, they were a lifeline when the kids were little in particular.
It's worth noting that, in the UK and Ireland, via the PLR scheme, authors (and other creatives) are paid for library loans of their works. www.bl.uk/plr/

The tories shouting & screaming that the £22B black hole doesn’t exist. It’s all lies according to them.

Well here is the evidence in the letter from the office for budget responsibility, from their review back in March!

If the minimum wage is £22,308 a yr, why does the govt expect a pensioner to live on £11,531? You can judge country on how it treats it's elderly.
Elderly are struggling to eat & 25% live in poverty.

o2 mobile contract needs renewing. Spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone.

Offer of 4 different tariffs before the advisor listened to what I was saying and magically found a tariff that offered more GB, unlimited texts and calls for 1/2 the cost of what I’m currently paying!

Just read my first “nasty” response and it was to @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social. Being an MP does not give anyone the right to automatically be horrid. You can disagree with policies etc and still be courteous
Let's try not to mess this up.
