I don’t know who told you mail carriers don’t get bit by dogs but it’s not true. The most effective part of the training is get in your car and drive away, which doesn’t work as well for police business as it does mail.

You’re on a good trajectory but would have to tell us more about them dogs to get a decent recommendation. Nike are good if you’re trying to fit in and tolerate pain well. Salomon if they’re narrow and you miss France. Topo if you’re a wide. Arc’teryx if you don’t need padding and need to look rich

I know a carrier that broke a foot bone running from a “nice” dog, two nice dogs that have been maced, and been nipped by a dog who really wanted the treat I didn’t have, because I care about my coworkers.
