they're just humorless mean gloating

My issue is that white supremacy is far more insidious than that and these portrayals make it easy for regular white folks to laugh at it and say "haha that's not me".

The film often struck me as parody and not satire. For example the “I don’t feel safe you’re invading my space” was so hacky. Even the cartoonish nature of the Christmas dudes feels reductive and sort of haha the white supremacists are all a laughable cult
